Five Plus One, Euthanas Inc., Fuero, The First Night And Hibernation Compete At Toledo

Five short films: Five Plus One (6xpersona) by Juan Carlevaris, Euthanas Inc. (Eutanas SA) by Víctor Nores, Fuero by Juanma Juárez, The First Night (La primera noche) by Eduardo Moyano Fernández, and Hibernation by Jon Mikel Caballero, are starting its participation at the current year's edition of the Corto-Joven Ciudad de Toledo (Spain) today, 5th September.

The 6th Concurso Corto-Joven Ciudad de Toledo (Toledo, Castilla-La Mancha, Spain) is opening today, 5th September, including in its screening calendar the short films Five Plus One (6xpersona) by Juan Carlevaris, Euthanas Inc. (Eutanas SA) by Víctor Nores, Fuero by Juanma Juárez, The First Night (La primera noche) by Eduardo Moyano Fernández, and Hibernation by Jon Mikel Caballero.

These five short films are going to compete from today until Saturday 7th September. During these three days of festival, 31 competing short films are going to be shown in Toledo.

Five Plus One by Juan Carlevaris is competing in the Creative Award (Premio Creative) Award, a prize which is going to the Best Short Film From Cortometraje de Castilla-La Mancha. There are 10 candidates in this section. They are: Un marido ejemplar by David Barco Martínez, Huele a quemado by Elías Espinosa, Parking by Javier López Velasco, ¿Café el domingo? by Sara Ibáñez, Five Plus One by Juan Carlevaris, ¿Qué hago contigo? by Mitternacht Blackcat, Un turista entre un millón by Julián de la Fuente Prieto, ¿Se puede ser más romántico? by Fidel Alfredo Jiménez, Pintando a Arsenia by Hugo de la Riva & Pablo Conde, and Té pakistaní by Daniel Ramírez Rubio.

The 10 finalists of the Creative Award are going to be screened today, Thursday 5th September, at 20:30 hours.

For their part, Euthanas Inc. by Víctor Nores, Fuero by Juanma Juárez, The First Night by Eduardo Moyano Fernández, and Hibernation by Jon Mikel Caballero have been accepted in the Toletum Award (Premio Toletum) category, which is going to award to the Best National (Spanish) Short Film. This section consists of 14 short films, including the abovementioned. The selected shorts are: Proyect K-9 by many authors, T'adhib by Raquel Bedia, La niña by Alberto Carpintero, Ironías de la vida by Ignacio Sepúlveda, 30 segundos by Javi Muños, Aniversario by Luis Miguel Granda Suárez, ¡Bingo! by David Turpin & Franz Normi, Euthanas Inc. by Víctor Nores, Fuero by Juanma Juárez, The First Night by Eduardo Moyano Fernández, Hibernation by Jon Mikel Caballero, Reencuentro by Juan Luis Moreno Somé, Monster Do Not Exist by Paúl Urkijo, and Sinceridad by Andrea Casaseca.

All the shorts that are competing for the Toletum Award are going to be exhibited tomorrow, Friday 6th September, from 20:30 hours.

Finally, the festival is also going to show today the 7 shorts that are contending in the local category: the Zoco Award (Premio Zoco) to Best Short Film From Toledo.

On Saturday 7th, also from 20:30 hours onwards, it is going to take place the awards ceremony and they are going to show the winning shorts again.
