Short Films Love Crisis And Hand In Hand Enter Competition At Lowcountry Shorts Festival

The Spanish short films Love Crisis, co-directed by Chus de Castro & Olga Ruano, and Hand In Hand (Mano a mano), directed by Ignacio Tatay, are going to contend during a new edition of the Lowcountry Shorts Festival (USA) today and tomorrow.
Although Love Crisis, the short film co-directed by filmmakers Chus de Castro & Olga Ruano, and Hand In Hand (Mano a mano), the fiction directed by Ignacio Tatay, continue their corresponding international film festival runnings, they going to meet at the 10th Lowcountry Shorts Festival 2014 (North Charleston, South Carolina, USA) this week-end.
This year's Lowcountry Shorts Festival is going to be held today, Saturday 20th September, and tomorrow, Sunday 21st September. As usual, the festival is held in the city of North Charleston, in the US state of South Carolina.
Love Crisis by Chus de Castro & Olga Ruano can be seen just today, Saturday 20th September, from 19:00 hours (EST).
Curiously enough, the story on love and economic Love Crisis is going to be shown as part of the block called "Love Stories?" of the 2014 Lowcountry Shorts Festival. Nine love-story short films are going to be exhibited in this section: Segundos by Ana Puentes, Juan Guerci & Pablo Martínez (Spain / Cuba / Argentina), Casitas by Javier Marco (Spain), Le premier pas by Aurélien Laplace (France), Countryphile by Ruth Sewell (United Kingdom), Love Crisis by Chus de Castro & Olga Ruano (Spain), Just In Time by Iacopo Navari (Italy), Cell Phone Monologues by Peter John Ross (USA), I'm A Sharpener by Mahdi Lepart (France), and Persuasion by Mattson Tomlin (USA).
For its part, the short Hand In Hand by Ignacio Tatay is going to be screened tomorrow, Sunday 21st September, at 19:00 hours (EST) in the block "Appearances Can Deceive".

The 2014 edition of the Lowcountry Shorts Festival has broken all records: 452 short films coming from over 60 countries have been submitted. Eventually, the Official Competition has selected 47 finalists, including the shorts Love Crisis by Chus de Castro & Olga Ruano and Hand In Hand by Ignacio Tatay. These finalists have been produced in 16 different countries: USA (16), Spain (9, including one co-production), United Kingdom (7, including one co-production), France (5), Germany (2), Australia (1), Bulgaria (1), Canada (1), Greece (1), Netherlands (1), Hungary (1), Israel (1), Italy (1), Argentina (1 co-production), Belgium (1 co-production), and Cuba (1 co-production).
