The Almería en Corto Festival (Almería in Shorts) has selected for its 2010 competition the fiction short film Lightness (Levedad) directed by Lucía del Río. It is going to compete at the Spanish Contest open only for shorts made in Spain.

Once again the University of La Laguna (Tenerife, Spain) presents its famous International Short Film Awards (Premio Internacional de Cortometrajes). The Selection Committee has nominated the short films Why Slugs Don't Like Salt? (Por qué las babosas no toman sal) by José Corral and Goodbye, Doll (Adiós, muñeca) by Hugo Sanz for this year's Official Competition.
