The short film directed by Mauricio Franco, El segundo amanecer de la ceguera (The Second Awakening of Blindness) has been selected for the Vladivostok International Film Festival "Pacific Meridian". One new nomination for the successful short film by Mauricio Franco, El segundo amanecer de la ceguera (The Second Awakening of Blindness). Now, the film has been chosen by the selection committee of the 8th Vladivostok International Film Festival "Pacific Meridian". In this occassion, El segundo amanecer de la ceguera has entered in a non-competitive section. The 8th Vladivostok International Film Festival "Pacific Meridian" is scheduled from September 11th to 17th 2010 in the Russian city of Vladivostok. The festival is specifically devoted to Pacific coastal countries. El segundo amanacer de la ceguera (The Second Awakening of Blindness) has been selected because its director, Mauricio Franco, is Peruvian born. Nevertheless, because the film is not shot in 35mm, it can participate in the Official Competition. El segundo amanecer de la ceguera by Mauricio Franco will be screened inside the "Shorter..." program along with 24 international shorts. The list of selected films is the following (titles are in English because the organizers has announced them in this language not in its own language; the authors of these films have not disclosed by organizers): Glottal Opera; Left Right; Renegades; 12 Years; Clearing; A Perm; Land and Bread; Cerro de la Cruz; Videogame; Beached; The Spell; Sea of Desires; It Seems to Be Over, But It May Be Not; Two Hours; As If Waiting a Bus; Muscles; The Last Day of Bulkin I.S.; Stop; Tides and Fro; Last Floor; Stand; and Brave Donkey. These works come from Australia, Greece, Spain, USA, Germany, Korea, Mexico, Chile, New Zealand, India, Russia, and Lithuania.
