The Lakino (Latin American Short Film Festival Berlin) has nominated El segundo amanecer de la ceguera (The Second Awakening of Blindness) by Mauricio Franco for its Official Competition.

The Latin American Short Film Festival of Berlin (Lakino) has selected the awarded short film by Mauricio Franco, El segundo amanecer de la ceguera (The Second Awakening of Blindness), for its Official Competition. The Lakino is scheduled for August 27th, 28th, and 29th 2010 in the capital of Germany. This is going to be the first edition of this festival which aspires to show the best Latin American short films in the city of Berlin.

El segundo amanecer de la ceguera (The Second Awakening of Blindness) will be screened August 28th and 29th. This is not the first time that the latest short by Mauricio Franco is shown in Berlin. Last February it entered Berlinale 2010 inside the Berlinale Shorts Competition. Then the filmmaker, Mauricio Franco, went to the capital of Germany during the festival.

On the other hand, El segundo amanecer de la ceguera has also been selected for other German festivals before, specifically, for the 20th International Videofestival Bochum and for Filmfest Dresden.
