Goodbye, Doll and Why Slugs Don't Like Salt? at L'Aquila

The 4th L'Aquila Film Festival (Italy) has selected the fiction short film Goodbye, Doll (Adiós, muñeca) by Hugo Sanz and the animation short film Why Slugs Don't Like Salt? (Por qué las babosas no toman sal) by José Corral for its Official Competition. Both films are distributed and promoted at film festivals by [ The House of Films ].

Once again, an Italian film festival has nominated Goodbye, Doll (Adiós, muñeca), the short film directed by Hugo Sanz and produced by 29Letras. This time it has been the L'Aquila Film Festival (Festival Internazionale di Cinema della Città dell’Aquila) which has selected this short film. Also the animation short film Why Slugs Don't Like Salt? (Por qué las babosas no toman sal) directed by José Corral will contend at the Official Competition of this event.

The L'Aquila Film Festival will be held at this village in the Abruzzo region from October 18th till 23rd, 2010. The festival is going to present 9 full-length films, and 39 shorts in competition. 17 short films from theses 39 are short film produced in Spain while 12 are Italian.

It should be noted that Adiós, muñeca by Hugo Sanz has been awarded at two Italian-speaking film festivals: the Kimera International Film Festival of Campobasso in Italy and the Corto Helvetico al Femminale of Lugano in Switzerland. Adiós, muñeca will be screened on October 18th at 18:30 in L'Aquila.

For its part, Por qué las babosas no toman sal by José Corral is growing in international popularity within last weeks because of its screenings in various festivals, such as the Mirada en Corto (Argentina), the Maratón de Vídeo Digital of Madrid (Spain), the Festival Ícaro de Cine y Vídeo en Centroamérica (Guatemala), the Animadrid (Spain), or the Festival Internacional de Jóvenes Realizadores of Granada. Por qué las babosas no toman sal is going to be exhibited on Tuesday October 19th at 18:30.
