Actress Sara Casasnovas, starring Adiós, muñeca (Goodbye, Doll), has been awarded at the Kimera International Film Festival of Campobasso, Italy.

The Jury of the Kimera International Film Festival 2010 has awarded actress Sara Casasnovas for her starring work in the short film Adiós, muñeca (Goodbye, Doll) directed by Hugo Sanz and produced by 29Letras.

Adiós, muñeca (Goodbye, Doll), the short film directed by Hugo Sanz and produced by 29Letras, was one of the selected finalists at the Official Fiction Short Film Competition. Eventually, the British short film titled Mother Mine by Susan Everett was the winner of this category. On the other hand, the Spanish short film Sueño fronterizo by David Delgado won a third prize. In addition, the short film by Anartz Zuazua Él nunca lo haría, also from Spain, achieved the First Audience Award. Moreover, the starring actor of Sueño fronterizo has won an award in the same festival (we do not know his name at the moment of elaborating this information, even we think he is Carmelo Alcántara). All these awards shows the excellent level of Spanish short-filmmaking.

Sara Casasnovas was born in Ourense (Galicia, Spain). She studied acting in A Coruña (Galicia, Spain) and in Madrid (Spain). She got his first lines in several TV series for (Televisión de Galicia, Galician public TV network). Later, she began to work in successful Spanish TV series such as El comisario, Amar en tiempos revueltos, and Hospital Central. At the same time, she has continued her successful theatre career both in Spanish and Galician language. She has won some prizes such as Vieira de Plata Award (as Best New Actress for Amar en tiempos revueltos), the Dulcinea Awards (also as Best New Actress for Amar en tiempos revueltos), and the FETEGA Awards (as Best Actress for the play Romeo y Julieta).

Additionally, Sara Casasnovas will compete for the Best Actress Award at the 5th Corto Festival DUNAS de Cine y Vídeo of Fuerteventura (Canary Islands, Spain) along with Carna Björne for Contranatura, by Isaac Berrocal, and Rocío Monteagudo for La Tama, by Martín Costa. The 5th Corto Festival DUNAS de Cine y Vídeo of Fuerteventura is scheduled between June 7th and 13th, 2010.
