The RTVE program "Versión Española" broadcast the short film El segundo amanecer de la ceguera (The Second Awakening of Blindness) by Mauricio Franco yesterday. El segundo amanecer de la ceguera is nominated for the 11th Concurso Iberoamericano de Cortometrajes Versión Española-SGAE.

Yesterday, on June 15th 2010, the short El segundo amanecer de la ceguera (The Second Awakening of Blindness), directed by Mauricio Franco and distributed by [ The House of Films ], was broadcast by RTVE (Spanish public broadcaster) inside the program "Versión Española". "Versión Española" (Spanish Version) is a program devoted to Spanish and Latin American films that screens a feature film and a short film every week. Yesterday's broadcasting showed the feature Sumas y restas, directed by Colombian Víctor Gaviria, and the short film El segundo amanecer de la ceguera. Additionally, "Versión Española" runs also a short film contest called Concurso Iberoamericano de Cortometrajes Versión Española-SGAE. The contest is opened to Spanish and Latin American shorts every year. "Versión Española" organizes this competition along with SGAE, Spanish main collecting charity.

The award will be presenting in a ceremony at the headquarters of SGAE in Madrid on next Tuesday June 22nd.
