Adiós, Muñeca At "Piélagos en Corto"

A new nomination for the successful Adiós, muñeca (Goodbye, Doll), a short by Hugo Sanz produced by 29Letras. Now it has been selected for the Festival "Piélagos en Corto" held by the Asociación Cultural Cantabria Visual and Ayuntamiento de Piélagos (Town Council of Piélago, Cantabria, Spain). Besides, Daniel Albadalejo, leading actor of Adiós, muñeca, will contend for the Best Actor Award.

After been screened at the Academia de Cine (Spanish Academy of Arts and Cinematographic Sciences) and at FIC Móstoles Festival last week, Adiós, muñeca (Goodbye, Doll) has been nominated for the Best National (Spanish) Short Film Award at the 1st Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes de Ficción "Piélago en Corto" (International Fiction Short Film Festival "Piélagos in Short") which will be in Piélagos, Cantabria, Spain. Moreover, Daniel Albadalejo, leading actor of Adiós, muñeca, will compete for the Best Actor Award at this festival.

The Festival "Piélagos en Corto" will take place in the town of Piélagos between May 10th to 15th, 2010. Adiós, muñeca (Goodbye, Doll), which is gradually becoming one of the most prominent Spanish short films of the year, will compete along with 17 shorts: Socarrat by David Moreno, Jingle Bells by David Casademunt, Terapia by Nuria Verde, Die Sheneider Krankheit by Javier Chillón, Lala by Esteban Crespo, Eggbaby by Nadine Troung, La rubia de Pinos Puente by Vicente Villanueva, Mi nombre junto al tuyo by Javier Velasco, Metropolis Ferry by Juan Gautier, Dime que yo by Mateo Gil, Carta de Francia by Diego Lopez Cotillo, Yanindara by Lluis Quilez, 360º by Maja Djokic, El cortejo by Marina Seresesky, Vellas by Carlos Prado Panpin, La condena by Mario de la Torre Espinosa, and Nuestras estrategias by Cervera brothers.

Adiós, muñeca (Goodbye, Doll) features Sara Casasnovas, Daniel Albaladejo, and Alberto Ferreiro as main characters. Daniel Albadalejo is a Spanish actor with a long and prominent carrier in theater, TV, and films. He became very popular thanks to Spanish TV series as Camera café, Aquí no hay quien viva, El súper, and Hospital Central. He is, now, nominated for the Best Actor Award at the "Piélagos en Corto" along with Alberto Amarilla for Mie2 by Iván Ruíz Flores and Mariano Llorente for El Cortejo by Marina Seresesky.
