The Spanish actress Sara Casasnovas has been nominated for her excellent work in Adiós, muñeca (Goodbye, Doll), a short film directed by Hugo Sanz and produced by 29Letras. She will contend for the Best Actress Award in the 5º Corto Festival DUNAS de Cine y Vídeo de Fuerteventura (Canary Islands, Spain) along with Carna Björne for Contranatura, by Isaac Berrocal, and Rocío Monteagudo for La Tama, by Martín Costa. Born in Ourense (Galicia, Spain) in 1984, Sara Casasnovas studied acting in A Coruña (Galicia) and Madrid. She has worked both in TV and theatre. She has also appeared in several short films. Casasnovas began her acting career in some TV series for TVG (Televisión de Galicia, Galician Regional public TV). Later, she continued her acting in TV for Spanish successfull series as El Comisario (Telecinco), Amar en tiempos revueltos (TVE), and Hospital Central (Telecinco). The Corto Festival DUNAS de Cine y Vídeo de Fuerteventura 2010 will take place in Fuerteventura (Canary Islands, Spain) from June 7th to 13th 2010. |
