Actress Sara Casasnovas has just won at the 5th Corto Festival DUNAS de Cine y Vídeo of Fuerteventura (Canary Islands, Spain) for her prominent role in the short film Adiós, muñeca (Goodbye, Doll) by Hugo Sanz. It should be noted that the actress has recently won another award also for her compelling acting in this short film produced by 29Letras.

Last May 25th, Sara Casasnovas had won at the Kimera International Film Festival of Campobasso, Italy, for her work in Adiós, muñeca (Goodbye, Doll). Today again, she has received a new award for her leading role in the short film directed by Hugo Sanz and produced by 29Letras. This new award has granted by the 5th Corto Festival DUNAS de Cine y Vídeo of Fuerteventura Canary Islands, Spain). Casasnovas compete along with Carna Björne for Contranatura, by Isaac Berrocal, and Rocío Monteagudo, nominated for La Tama by Martín Costa. Eventually, Sara Casasnovas has achieved the Best Actress "Dunas" Award.

Surprisingly, the Best Fiction Short Film went ex aequo to the four nominees: Almas perdidas by Julio de la Fuente, Contranatura by Isaac Berrocal, El rayo y la sirena by Diego Sanchidrián, and Killer by Nacho Carballo. Ante tus ojos by Aarón J. Melián was awarded as the Best Short Film from Canary Islands, Margarita by Álex Cervantes as Best Animation Short Film, El tránsito by León Siminiani as Best Short Documentary Film, Au by Vicent Gisbert as Best Experimental, Cama blanca by Diego Betancor as Best Young Short Film, while Tachaan by Rafael Cano, Carlos del Olmo and Miguel Ángel got the Best Very Short Film Award. On the other hand, Pedro Loro Avis for Chocolate frío won the Best Fiction Screenplay and Best Filmmaker awards, while Julia Buckmiller and Bárbara Kloos for Ingrávido were granted with the Best Art Award and Lilly Thalgott also for Ingrávido got the Best Cinematography Award. The editor of El Tránsito, León Siminiani, won the Best Editing Award and Iván Capillas for Les Sabatilles de Laura achieved the Best Soundtrack Award. The films Todo es maybe by Asier Urbieta, El Tránsito by León Meminiani, Lost by Alberto Dorado, La Tama by Martín Costa, and Ante Tus Ojos by Aarón J. Melián also got some other rewards. The Honour Award went to private corporation Agencia del Cortometraje Español (ACE). Finally, the male actors of Pulsiones, Nacho Casalvaque and Marko Mihailovic, deserved the Best Actor "Dunas" Award.

Beside the two awards won for her acting in Adiós, muñeca, Sara Casasnovas has also other prizes such as Vieira de Plata Award (as Best New Actress for Amar en tiempos revueltos), the Dulcinea Awards (also as Best New Actress for Amar en tiempos revueltos), and the FETEGA Awards (as Best Actress for the play Romeo y Julieta).
