The short films Lightness (Levedad) by Lucía del Río and Adiós, muñeca (Goodbye, Doll) by Hugo Sanz enter at the Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF 2010). They are the only Spanish short films at the Official Competition in this African film festival. The short films Lightness (Levedad) by Lucía del Río and Adiós, muñeca (Goodbye, Doll) by Hugo Sanz has been selected by the Selection Committee of the Zanzibar International Film Festival 2010 in Tanzania. The ZIFF is scheduled between July 10th to 18th, 2010. It takes places in Zanzibar City, capital of Zanzibar Archipelago. This is going to be its 13th edition. The festival will show audiovisual works from Africa and from all around the world. The programme schedules both short and feature films. It also includes some documentary films. Lightness (Levedad) is the latest short film directed by Lucía del Río. The story introduces a happy family. But the main character, a little girl, will unveil the truth about this family. Lightness (Levedad) has just screened at the Festival de Cine de Alicante (Spain) and is selected at the Young Values Film Festival de Barcelona (Spain), and at the International Short Film Festival de Balchik (Bulgaria). On the other hand, Adiós, muñeca (Goodbye, Doll) has been directed by Hugo Sanz and has been produced by 29Letras. Sara Casasnovas, Daniel Albaladejo, and Alberto Ferreiro play the leading roles in this short. Adiós, muñeca (Goodbye, Doll) has won several festivals yet: the Festival ARTIfice de Loja (Spain), the Corto Helvetico al Femminale de Lugano (Switzerland), the Certamen de Cortometrajes de Carabanchel (Spain), and the Kimera International Film Festival 2010 (Italy).
